OUR CHILDREN'S DAY

It started 49years ago. Some memos are still living. Celebrating the future leaders of our tomorrow. With pride in our hearts, we once celebrated most of the present leaders of our beloved country. The joy on the faces of Nigerians speaks a million. Though, many things are wrong about our nation but we keep procrastinating the betterment of our country. The dream of a better today was once dreamt and somehow dashed. In another realm of dreaming, we forget that the joy of tomorrow all start today. Why don't we dream of a better today and plan for a best tomorrow. The standard of education continues to fall, resources of the state are pillage and siphoned by mindless adults and leaders. The gradual descent of Nigerian child to abyss of ignorance, poverty and hopelessness should be addressed. Today marks the day to say NO to any form of maltreatment of children, sexual harassment, and denial of education, child labour, physical assaults, child trafficking and lot more. Let's right our wrongs and make life out of our today to have a great and better tomorrow. The essence of celebrating today is not foe the fun of it. Let's give children their rights.
